Need mirrors? They’ve got you covered. Full-length mirrors? Check. Fitting rooms? There are at least 10. Small mirrors for those essential accessory checks? Absolutely. It’s like a pre-fashion runway backstage – thoughtful and practical.

The selection is a strong suit. For the guys, there’s a variety of pants, jackets, and sweaters. The T-shirt section is a graphic tee paradise. Ladies, it’s a treasure trove – shirts, skirts, coats, jackets, pants, and dresses. Accessories? They’ve got an impressive array – bags, jewelry, hats, and enough sunglasses to rival a Hollywood wardrobe.

Space, however, is a bit of a challenge. Buffalo Exchange embraces a snug setting. Maneuvering through the racks might feel like a fashion puzzle, especially during peak hours. Also, during peak hours, the limited elbow room could turn your leisurely shopping experience into a subtle test of patience.

When it comes to pricing, it’s a mixed bag – not budget-breaking, but not exactly a thrift store bargain either. Now, let’s talk about the men’s section. While it covers the essentials, some patterns and cuts might not align with everyone’s taste.

The real MVPs here are the staff. They’re not just helpful; they elevate your shopping experience. Friendly, approachable, and ready to make your thrift journey enjoyable.

Situated in a trendy Manhattan locale, Buffalo Exchange stands as a go-to spot for those seeking unique finds. In the grand scheme of thrift adventures, I’d give this Buffalo Exchange a commendable 7.5/10 – a reliable destination for stylish discoveries.

Thrift NYC has one employee in the store at a time, working as the cashier, but also is very helpful with helping you look for clothes. There are a couple of mirrors in the store (full length), and shockingly, the men’s section is more extensive than the women’s, which is rare in clothing stores. There is one “fitting room” in the back, and I say that in quotes because it is not a fitting room. The bathroom in the back is used as a fitting room as the toilet is covered up and not usable. But it is a room where you are allowed to try clothes on.

Pricing is average, not super cheap, but it is affordable\. The pieces are priced very accurately to what they should be. Pants are priced from $20-40, and jackets can vary; however, jackets like suede and leather are pricier, and some heavier sweater-type clothes are around $30. If I were to describe the vibe of the clothing, I would say -leather, vintage, and warm. There isn’t a lot of bright-colored clothing (other than some shirts and flannels I referenced above), primarily browns and dark blues; most of their things are neutral and muted.

I would give Thrift NYC a 7/10. Their selection is on the smaller side, but their clothing quality is vintage perfection and affordable.
